Diwali celebrates the inner light that protects us from spiritual darkness. In Guyana, India and around the world, Diwali is celebrated by lighting clay lamps or diyas to signify light over darkness or good over evil.

The day of festivity began with the lighting of the lamp by respected Principal Mrs. Vamsheepriya Amar, along with Academic Coordinator Mrs. Komala K, Mont. In charge Mrs. Nalini. All the teachers, as well as the students, were dressed up in their best ethnicity. All the students from Grades 1-8 and teachers were brought together through the virtual platform to celebrate, whereas all the students of Grades 9 & 10 were physically present on the campus, where respected Principal Mrs. Vamsheepriya Amar addressed all the students to convey her greetings. An eco-friendly pledge was written by the students of Grade X, which was being read by the school Head Girl Sthuthi P and best wishes were conveyed by school Head Boy Tejas B. It was a fun-filled day with all smiles and cheers around.
